Happy Birthday!

"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."

January 29

Even though your not here, you are always on our minds and in our hearts. We will celebrate today, all of our wonderful memories with you. We will laugh, cry, and hopefully keep your awesome sense of humor alive.

I still remember standing in the candy bar isle laughing at all the funny things for your candy bar poster.

Notice the mincemeat pie instead of cake.

I love you and miss you Dad!

Happy Birthday!

When it rains, it pours! Literally.

I do love the rain, in fact when I woke up this morning I heard the wonderful sound of water tapping heavily on the driveway, and I was happy. Then I realized it had rained all night. I said to Matt as he was leaving," I hope the basement doesn't flood!" Was it because I didn't knock on wood? I guess we'll never know because the basement had already flooded!! The wonderful sound of water tapping heavily was the result of our rain gutters malfunctioning. The water was just pouring out the side by the gallons, then making it's way down our foundation to the basement. Of course it was only really bad in the one room we have finished downstairs. We had to rip up the carpet, and take out the pad. Now we are just waiting for it to dry. ARGH!

Here's the good news, my ducks are very happy with their pools all around the house. I actually thought I saw them smiling;)

Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever wondered what a fairy does all day?
Well first, she checks herself in the mirror to make sure she looks fabulous.

Next, she has her tea party. Guests by invitation only.

Finally, it's time for some cartoons. Being a fairy is hard work!!

When it is time to mingle among the commoners, she wears her everyday clothes as to not stand out among the crowds.

This little fairy would like to invite her Uncle Ryan over for some tea, to say thank you for the fairy dress. He wanted her to have one ever since we went to Disneyland. I think she likes it!!

Ahhhhhhh much better!

My dear friend Brittney gave Matt and I a gift certificate for a couples massage. It was our Christmas gift. A few months ago I had a massage that was so horrible, I wasn't sure I ever wanted one again. The guy had no concept of OUCH THAT HURTS. So of coarse, I called Brittney to tell her about the torture I had been through. Her husband is a massage therapist so I wanted to find out if that was a normal occurrence. Of course the answer was no..... Any hew, so I had been wanting to get this massage ever since I got it. Matt wasn't as excited as me, so I asked him if it would be O.K. if I took Brittney instead. He thought that was great since he was going on the Klondike anyway.

It was FABULOUS!! We had so much fun, it was truly such a great out for me. Thanks Brittney, that was such a thoughtful gift. I'm sad we didn't get any pictures. Next time!

Like a fine wine, I only get better with age:)

January 13, 1976. The day I was born. Yep I'm 33, I hear it's the new 23.

Either way, birthdays are actually good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.

I have had so many great birthday's, my family and friends make each year so special. I had lunch with my dear friends at work yesterday, they decorated my locker, and made some really nice cards. I always love the calls and emails from everyone! It makes it worth it to turn a year older!

My poor little princess

Thursday night, Adelynn was climbing on my bed and got her foot stuck between the mattress and the wood frame of the bed. Somehow she fell and fractured her tibia. I wasn't sure it was broken, and she had been sick the night before so she was very tired. She fell asleep and the next morning I took her to my moms because I had to go to work. My mom called and said she thought I should take her in and that she wasn't using her leg at all. We took her in to our Dr. office and had an x-ray. I was so sad that I had waited to take her, but the office was so good with her, and were so sweet to me as I tried to pull myself together. I couldn't stop crying after they told me. It looks like she will be O.K. She isn't supposed to walk on it for 7-10 days. That will be the hard part.

I never thought I would see my little girl in a cast, but I love that it's purple. We are working with her wardrobe to coordinate. HA ha. Thanks to my mom for singing to her and keeping us both calm while they were casting her leg!! Thanks to everyone at work who are so understanding, and willing to cover for me.

Ee i ee i oh sorry

It was unfair of me to make it sound like Matt was an unhappy farmer.
He has been great to help me get them hay, and clip their nails. The goats have destroyed his barn, eaten trees, ruined fences. The dogs have been a pain also. I know he puts up with it all to make me happy. He never complains. I am really lucky to have such a great husband. I am sorry Matt, my post was not to hurt your feelings, it was for a laugh for me. Good thing Britt is the only one to read my blog.
